It's GAME DAY for the Comets Softball team! North Polk is playing the Boone Toreadors at home tonight ( games that were previously postponed on June 10th). The JV game kicks off first, at 5 PM, followed by the Varsity game at 7 PM.

Comet Nation, North Polk High School just had three track athletes qualify and compete at the Nike Outdoor Nationals at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon! Frankie Huether made finals in the Long Jump, jumping 18-01.75, which placed her 8th out of 65! Reese Wagner cleared 5-05 (1.65m) in the High Jump, which placed her 13th out of 53! Alexis Hergenreter ran the Mile in 5:08.47, which is an equivalent of running the 1500m in 4:45! A mile PR!
Congratulations, ladies, on not only qualifying and competing at this level, but also representing North Polk on the big stage!

The Comets Softball team lost to Ankeny Centennial, 6-8 yesterday in their second game of the day at the Fort Dodge Softball Invitational. They will play again this morning at 10:45 AM against Wahlert Catholic. Good luck this morning, ladies!

Comet fans, the softball team is on the road to the Harlan Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge this morning for a softball invitational! North Polk opens the day against Des Moines Roosevelt at 9 AM. The rest of the day's schedule will be determined based on the outcome of that first game. If they win against Roosevelt, they'll play their next game at 12:30 PM. If they lose to Roosevelt, they'll play their next game at 10:45 AM.
