According to NFHS, 102,360 girls, at nearly 4,000 high schools, participated in girls high school flag football last year, up 48.7% in a single year.
Four years ago, that number was 20,875. 24 states now sanction the sport and 16 more are running pilot programs.

Every one of those numbers used to be a projection. Now it’s reality! Opportunity. Football for all!

Participation in high school sports in the U.S. reached an all-time high over the past two years, and the reason is because of the rapid growth of girls wrestling and girls flag football.

The National Federation of State High School Associations recently released its participation survey for the 2025-26 school year. The association gathers participation numbers from all state associations in the country, including the PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association).

Congrats Belly on this well deserved award!! 🎉

Every year, the ball is passed from a graduating senior to a rising senior. A tradition that symbolizes leadership, character, dedication, and what it truly means to be a role model within our program.
Each recipient signs the ball before it is placed in the athletics showcase beside our flag football trophies, serving as a lasting reminder of the legacy and sisterhood being built year after year.
This year, senior Lillian Barr proudly passed the ball to incoming senior Isabelly Rodrigues. Watching this tradition continue is a special reminder that the future of this program is in great hands. ♥️🏈
