Tonight was day 4 of teaching group fitness classes 13 days in a row. Some highlights were two of my regular members rocking their 722 Sweat Mvmt shirts in class (pictures attached) and one of them telling other members about it as well as learning that Ms. Lisa is a fellow therapist and Angela is a fellow social worker!πŸ’š I love all my members πŸ₯°

Alhumdulilah, I had my post kidney donation surgery appointment yesterday, one day shy of two weeks since the big day. First thing I did was hi-five my surgeon and say, "We did it!" πŸ™‹πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ I love that he was just as happy and excited as I was πŸ₯° At the end of the appointment, he said I am doing great! Just gotta keep taking it slowly (for me lol) and listening to my body. In sha Allah he said I am on track to return ro teaching my classes in about 6 weeks πŸ’™

Today marks one week since I was released from the hospital. Yesterday (Oct. 4), I returned home after staying at my cousins' house before and after my kidney donation surgery on Sept. 25. I still tire very easily, am moving slowly and have some discomfort around my incisions. My recipient is doing very well! Alhumdulilah (all praise due to God) for our recoveries! Please continue to keep us in your prayers and positive thoughts! Thank you to everyone who has checked on me and especially everyone who has been so generous as to donate to my meal train or to me directly πŸ₯° It really helps to have one less thing to worry about during this time. I am only 1.5 weeks post-op and I have a long way to go--at least 6.5 weeks before I can return to teaching group fitness classes.
