What a weekend! I hadn't been to Ft. Benning in about 16 years. Coming back to support the Best Ranger competition was quite an experience. I spoke to so many interesting people and made some connections to support the endeavors of the . Big, BIG things coming involving the foundation and fight sports. I'm so excited to keep moving this project along.

It's fun to talk about wins, not so much about the losses. Took an L last night but had a great time competing at .pro 2. has put in some great events that continue to get better. Competing for a big crowd is quite the experience. With the weight of my team and my family, it's hard not to be grateful. The L still stings a bit but I'll get over and move onto the next. Lots of life going on lately and I'm happy to be constantly challenged.

I'll be at it again at .pro 2, March 13th at El Toro in Alrington. I've faced Mark before and I know him to be a very technically-gifted grappler who bested me in our last match. He's also a really cool human. I've been fortunate enough to get a second chance. Thanks again for putting this all together! Happy to share the stage with 4 others from my gym and so many others from the area.

Taking 300 # for a ride this morning. I've been working on hypertrophy for the last ~6 weeks and haven't gone far beyond 225 #. Happy to have the legendary Coach Lucky with firm, but fair criticism offered at every turn.

Full leg workout today:

W/U- Reverse Hyper + Empty Bar Squats 3 ×10

Had a great time competing last night at the inaugural Friday Night Lights Pro in Arlington! I love this community so much. It's ironic that the most violent events tend bring together the nicest people you'll ever meet. A quick thank you to my opponent. It takes two to make this happen and I appreciate the risk that's accepted on both sides. Thanks to Kyle Short for putting on the show. From a competitor perspective, I thought it went very well. I've come realize if his name is attached to it, you can rest assured the competitors are his top priority. Thank you to my home away from home and to my extended family over at . Monty and Shandon have cultivated an environment beyond just training where it truly is like a bonus family. Thank you to my mother-in-law who is always there to watch the kids so I can even make it to training. And the biggest thank you .custance for always being there for me and being my biggest supporter. It was especially nice to have Lucas and Miles there watching me.

October 24th is putting on another show. Competing is fun, but I'm more excited to see this promotion continue to grow! Bringing back our roots by figuring in a bar. Hell yea. 2 months to learn how to jiu-jitsu.
