This Saturday is the 32nd Annual Maryville-Alcoa-Blount County Parks & Recreation Commission Duck Pond Fishing Derby!! The Alcoa Fishing Team has ran the weigh in over the last 4 years, and we’re looking for a couple of local Tennessee Bass Nation High School/Youth anglers(or anyone that can volunteer) that could help!!! This is always a very exciting event for all of the local youth anglers in the community!!

Looking for a full-size TPE Urchin? Look no further than the Jerkin Urchin. We will have both a 25mm full-size and a 20mm version available.

This is going to be a hot item, and if all goes according to plan, we should have these packaged and ready to ship in two and a half weeks. The currently completed colors are Scuppernong, Green Pumpkin, and Green Pumpkin/Blue Flake. These will be the first colors available once we get them packaged.

Don’t miss out this weekends Bill Dance Giant Bass Open on Lake Chickamaugua! This is a unique event that offers divisions for both YOUTH and ADULT anglers to compete in separately!! 🚨We know it was a little late, but the Alcoa Fishing Team recently held an awards banquet celebrating our 2025 anglers for all of their accomplishments and achievements from an amazing season!!!(we even had some alumni anglers join in to share the excitement)

The 2025 season was nothing short of a huge success for our entire team throughout the season. All of our teams racked up some unbelievable finishes throughout the entire Tennessee Bass Nation divisions and even on the Bassmaster High School National Series. We have always preached to our anglers that a top 10% finish in high school events is a huge achievement, but our teams wouldn’t settle for that… When the 2025 season ended our AFT anglers had amassed a season that rivals any high school program in the entire Nation! During the season these teams punched multiple National Championship tickets, numerous wins, trail point AOY’s, State Championship victories, the coveted TN Commissioners Cup, and way too many top 10 finishes to even list…..

The biggest part of our awards banquet was to celebrate and give our anglers some much deserved hardware earned through the 2025 Tennesssee BASS Nation State Championship!! Our AFT anglers headed out in the State Championship event on Dale Hollow this past summer chasing down the 2025 Commissioners Cup award.(this award is the equivalent to State Championship for an entire team in other sports) The AFT anglers headed out on the final day ranked behind a very talented team from middle TN. Our anglers went to work, and let their true talent and determination to win prevail! When the scales closed on the final day, our AFT anglers took home the VICTORY!!! This was a *3 PEAT* win for this award for our team over the last 3 years…. We’re super proud of our 2023, 2024, and 2025 teams and their families!!!

The entire team over at BBE has always stood behind our anglers and help keep our teams dialed in on the water!! 2025 was a blast and we can’t wait to kick the 2026 season off at Pickwick again in early March. If you haven’t fished with us yet, mark your calendars and come join in on the fun. In 2025 our events grew by 21%! We had over 2,100 anglers from 24 different states come and fish with us. You’ll notice we added a couple of new lakes for the upcoming season.
