This is Cristian David Ortega Fontalvo of Colombia. He did a fantastic ride in the sprint finals against Nico Paul to earn silver and did a huge ride in the qualifiers of the Kilometer TT to set a new track record [1:00.417] at the Velocenter track in Carson CA but came up short in the final ride [1:00.835] to his countryman Santiago Ramirez Morales [1:00.796]. It was great to be there with him in training, to see the process and to offer advice when asked. Congrats Cristian. Awesome job!!!

This short video was taken on my way to the airport in Hong Kong. Their apartment complexes are huge, 50 floors up with some as many 50 to a 100 apartments per floor, mostly 1 bedroom, with 6 to 12 buildings in a compound. 2500 to 5000 apartments per building, 15000 plus apartments in a compound.. just mind boggling.

THE GALMOROUS SIDE OF SPORT TRAVEL Its10:56 PM on Wednesday 20th March in Los Angeles. My day .. the 20th of March started in Hong Kong at 12:00:01. When people say they had a long day.. well, I probably had one that is longer. At midnight, my day.. the 20th of March would be 39 hours long. A canceled flight followed by a rerouted flight to LA through Tokyo is one of the many pleasures we sometimes have to endure as part traveling for your sport.
