S&B Tubing S&B Tubing is located right on the Sugar River so your trip begins when you arrive. You float from our shop to a designated location about 4 miles South.

The last rentals leave at 3:00 PM. Canoe and kayak trips take about an hour and a half while tubing takes around three and a half hours. Times are approximate and subject to change based on the depths of the river. A more accurate timeline is available when you get here. The last shuttle from the destination leaves at 8:00 PM.

Due to forecasted severe weather we will be closed Wednesday and Thursday this week (June10-11). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but your safety if our priority. We will keep you posted on river conditions after the storms, and will reopen when it becomes safe to do so. Stay tuned

The weather is warming up and SO IS THE RIVER!! This Saturday, May 23rd. marks the beginning of the 2026 tube and kayaking season! We will open Saturday at 9 am and resume our regular business hours. We’re open 7 days a week (WEATHER PERMITTING) from 10-3 Monday-Friday, 9-3 Saturday-Sunday. We are looking forward to getting you all back to “floating thru life”!

VOLUNTEERS WANTED!! The annual sugar river clean up is being held Saturday May 16! Volunteers hit the river via boat, kayak, or bus starting at 10am. All of your transportation and equipment is included and arranged, as well as drinks and a free sack lunch!! Whether you’re looking to do good, catch some community service hours, or just hit the river early, Come on out and join our crew in this annual tradition hosted by the Albany Conservation Club! Registration starts at 9!

Happy Friday Everyone!! Just a quick post to let everyone know THERE ARE ONLY 4 DAYS LEFT IN 2025 (including today) TO HIT THE RIVER AND GET YOUR FLOAT ON!! Monday (September 1st) is our last day of the season… Hope to see you all for one last hurrahhhh!!

Looks like water levels are finally headed down and we are BACK OPEN FOR BUSINESS!! Although water levels are headed in the right direction the river is still very high. As a precaution any non swimmers, as well as anyone under the age of 18 will be required to wear a life jacket. YOU WILL NEED able bodied paddlers in your group in order to help navigate. Only a couple weekends left in the 2025 season, hope to see you all for a final float… or two!!

Well friends we got ALOT of rain yesterday. Water levels are very high and unfortunately projected to continue rising throughout the day today. For your safety, and the safety of our staff we will be closed until water levels begin to recede. The river rises and falls very quickly so we are hopeful tubing will only be impacted for a couple of days… stay tuned. 😒

We will be closed today 08/18/25 due to severe weather and forecasted thunderstorms. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but your safety and the safety of our staff is our utmost priority. We’re looking forward to better weather for the rest of the week!

Water levels are finally headed down!! Things are still on the high side but not considered unsafe. Looks like the storms are going to stay north of us (we will continue to monitor the radar) but at this point we’re looking at a high of °90. Perfect day to come out for a float on the BEAUTIFUL sugar river!!

Water levels are definitely on the high side, but WE ARE OPEN!! The current is cruising in some spots so You will need able bodied paddlers in your group to help navigate! Also as a precaution we will be requiring anyone under the age of 18 to wear a life jacket. The float is taking around 3 hours. Hoping the river finally starts to head back down today but as always Mother Nature is unpredictable.

Good Morning Friends! Water levels are on the rise but definitely still within the “Safe Zone”. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep everyone updated if things change. Water levels rise and fall very quickly so it is difficult to predict far into the future. WE ARE OPEN TODAY!!
