Unfortunately, the Akron-Westfield Legion Post 186 High School Baseball season is over for the 2025 season. Our last 2 games scheduled for today in Kingsley have been canceled due to weather. These young men are just getting going on their baseball journey this summer and great things are ahead for them with Coach Johnson and the Akron-Westfield High School Baseball team. What a great group of athletes and leaders we had this year, I couldn't be happier with their effort and support of each other this spring season.

The Akron-Westfield Legion Post 186 HS Baseball game for tomorrow, April 12th, has been moved from 5 pm to 6 pm at Sargent Field in Akron. Sunday's game will remain at 5 pm.

Some corrections to our schedule for this weekends games in Akron at Sargent Field. Saturday's game vs. Moville will be moved from 4 pm to 5 pm, and Sunday's doubleheader vs Kingsley will now be a single 7 inning game beginning at 5 pm as well.

The Akron-Westfield Legion Post HS Baseball team had a bit of a rough day against a very skilled Okoboji team yesterday. Losing the 1st game 5-11 and the 2nd 5-6. Some highlights were Matthew Swancutt hitting our first homerun of the season and Karston Jacobson striking out 6 in 3 innings allowing 1 unearned run in his Legion Baseball pitching debut.

I want to give a shout out to Tayte C**t who stole 6 bases in 10 innings on 3/28 at Lemars. Outstanding work.
