Men's Lacrosse is an active club sport at The University of Akron competing in the National College Lacrosse League (NCLL). Men's Lacrosse competes out of the Midwest Conference Division 1 and seeks a National Championship every year. As we continue to grow our program on campus we are looking for players who wish to continue their careers at the collegiate level competitively. We are excited to w
elcome incoming players (Freshman, Transfer Students, etc.) to our team but hope you will be aware of the commitment that comes with being a student athlete even at the club level. As other universities grow, the level of competition becomes greater as we saw the 2012 National Champion out of our conference (The University of Cincinnati). We expect all players to be actively engaged students on campus as well as good standing students academically (9credits required and a GPA of 2.0+). Our program has grown since 2008 and has become one of the most respected programs within the nation and on campus. Lacrosse is a unique sport to our society and the fastest growing sport in the nation and we look to continue to make a name for ourselves not only on the scoreboard but through marketing our program via custom game shorts and jerseys. Dues are evaluated every year based on team needs and travel and there is an expense to play. If you enjoy playing the fastest game on two feet we welcome you to join us at any of our summer/fall/spring practices to meet the team and get a feel for what it's like to play at the collegiate level.
