Tonight marked our final scrimmage before our opening game. It was a patient game at the plate for us. Which showed a lot of growth.
Lucas started out on the mound tonight got a quick strike out, but ran into a little bit of a jam when he gave up a hit followed by a walk. But induced a great 4-6 double play when Nahlon caught a line drive and then threw to Brooks to get the runner out before they tagged up.
The first inning we had some hits and some walks. With 2 on and nobody out Steven hit a hard ground ball through the infield that went into the outfield gap Steven cleared off Lucas and Ryder who both scored during Steven’s home run. Steven finished the game 2-3 with a HR a double and a K. Finished the first inning with 5 runs.
Next on the bump was Aiden, he pitched very well went 3 up and 3 down with 3 Ks. Walks and base hits during this inning pushed across 5 more runs.
Next was Bentley who got 2 quick strike outs and then he struggled with the zone. Probably the umpires fault lol. But walked 4 in a row. After a mound visit told him this was his 5th batter if he walks him gonna probably have to make a change. Bentley responded by throwing 3 strikes out of 4 pitches to record the final out. More walks and Steven’s double powered us to 5 more runs.
Next on the mound was Nahlon he started the inning with a K but then struggled with 2 walks before punching out the final two outs. Our final at bat was fueled by walks. But pushed 6 across.

Our Comets are off until Monday when they return to the practice field to prepare for our season opener Wednesday May 3.
