A recap for lights out 17, we unloaded Tuesday for testing made 7 passes over the next three days with an average of 5.310. Then after the first round of qualifying we were 24th out of 104 cars then came the rain Saturday afternoon, big change in the weather for Saturday morning! Corey Blackman worked his magic on the keyboard to move us into the #6 position in what was most definitely the toughest field we have been a part of! Looking at the data we were most likely 5.303 or 5.304 at worst I would say the top ten cars all were 5.308 or better. Then I started feeling like crap on Friday morning and only got worse from there after our first round win over a former street outlaw Shannon Poole! In the second round against Houston McLane, I almost 🤮 in the car while backing up after the burnout.
I should’ve not even been racing but didn’t want to let the rest of the PickPocket Racing family down so it was time to man up couldn’t get her slowed down quite enough at the stripe as we were having 20-40 mph head wind gusts you have to tune for the head wind and drive the stripe! That makes for extremely tuff racing we broke out by what looks like 5.288-5.292 from our telemetry in the car, as bad as I felt wasn’t even upset about it! We got loaded up and got home last night to finally really 🤮 and get some of what ever I got out of me now one of my crew guys and my beautiful wife are also sick 🤢 we are taking today off from Apex Race Dynamics to recover from a long weekend of hard racing I would like to thank a few of our sponsors Eric Stirewalt with Concord heating and air and Bobby Mills with Pirates Septic Service and my crew guys Corey, Sam, Andrew & of course my wife for all the late nights and crazyness of Drag Racing

Hard to imagine someone being upset by the name of our racing team. It was a personal fun family choice & we're definitely not trying to out-thug anyone. We're family friendly & 💯 child SAFE place.
