I've been wanting to turn a two sided striker to pair with my two sided calls and I am absolutely pleased with how this turned out! Side by side is purple heart and marble wood. I also got to try my 'TO' brand I made last week to be able to put my initials in my work. I'll be doing more of these with different wood species and getting them on the store soon!

Update! Calls and strikers are done! My wife has been working on the internet side of things, setting up accounts and such. I just need to get some photos and details up and we should have them ready for sale Tuesday evening! I plan to some sort of giveaway when we launch so stay tuned for details and thank you all!

9 done tonight, 16 more to go! My speed is increasing the more I do and by doing them in bulk. This batch will be up for sale as soon as I can get some more strikers turned!

I came home today to an order from Brookside Game Calls and picked up some more E6000 from Eclectic Products. My favorite supplier pairs nicely with my favorite glue! If it's not obvious, I'm hoping that if I do enough fishing, one day I'll catch a sponsorship!

I love having a Woodcraft locally! They have pallets FULL of cut offs and cull hardwoods and exotics for just $1.99 a pound. The 20lbs I got today will be perfect for my hand turned strikers. I couldn't have been more excited to find that purple heart either (6"x12"x1.5") although my saw blades and lathe tools won't enjoy it so much!
