Not racing this weekend so we got 1 car fix and ready to race on September 12th at Dominion Raceway in Spotsylvania Virginia now it’s time to move that 1 out and bring in the other 1 so we can get that ready for Shenandoah Speedway on September 5th…so save those dates and come on out to the track and root on your favorite driver😉

This weekend’s Race Recap! (Highs & Lows)

I started out Friday evening with practice where I was the quickest on the track then I qualified after a couple of sprinkles of rain on the track and got a little loose and ended up 2nd, then the rain came down and postponed the race to Saturday.

Saturday morning got to the track feeling good and ready to race I had a few more practice sessions and qualifying for race 2 of the night where I had a strong qualifying time and the last car out beat us out for the pole position by .012 of a second.

Race 1 started and I slipped down behind the leader where I worked the whole race trying to get around him and waiting for him to make a mistake but he didn’t and raced a good race, but unfortunately the winners car did not pass post race inspection which gave me 1st place and the trophy 🏆

Race 2 stared and I didn’t have any help from behind to stay with the leader and dropped back to 4th and ran there until a caution came out with 4 laps left and while under caution I lost my brakes and they looked up on the back stretch where I had to be towed back to my pits and was done for the remainder of the race

All in all the team and I had a fun weekend and as always I’d like to thank my team for giving me a fast race car and also my sponsor Bryan’s Road Tire & Auto Center

Race recap!

It was a rough day at the track for or Saturday race at Shenandoah Speedway. The first practice I was way of the pace the car would not stick in the turns. The crew made some adjustments for practice #2 and way off the pace but it was just as bad. Made some more adjustments and went out to qualify and almost the same result. So we ask or friends from Eli VP Racing for ideas and help, thankfully we had plenty of time and made even more adjustments which really helped a lot for the feature race. We had a competitive car and fighting for 4th place when the car in front lost control and spun out and I had nowhere to go and collected up in the wreck. The damage to my frontend was just to much which ultimately ended my race about halfway through. I’d like the thank Eli VP Racing for always being there for us when we need a hand and would also like to thank my sponsor Bryans Road Tire & Auto Center for their continued support

Race update!! (better late than never)

We had a beautiful day for racing Saturday and my car was running the best it ever has. I was about 2 tenths faster and anyone on the track for both practices and then went out there and qualified 1st. The race started and was pushed down below the yellow line by the 2nd place car and had to let off after I got back on the track I found myself in 5th place and went to work picking cars off 1 by until I was right behind the leader. I was making my way around a lapped car I turn 3 when my rearend came around and I smacked the lapped car bending my front horns and hood. But I regained control and still had the fastest car on the track I caught back up to the 3rd place car and was on his rear bumper where I ultimately finished in 4th place.

Practice makes perfect. We went out Friday for some extra seat time and dialed the car in. Then Saturday was time to see if all that work would pay off. My #37 Bandolero couldn’t be touched all day; we had the fastest car on the track all day and finally got our first win 🏆. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into it, and it feels great to see it finally pay off.

We had a productive Sunday. The day commenced with an early morning session in the first practice, where our racecar exhibited excessive looseness. Following adjustments to tighten it up slightly for the second practice, we encountered mechanical issues that required attention right up until qualifying. Our team worked diligently to ensure the chain was properly positioned and all aspects were optimized, resulting in a fourth-place qualification. At the start of the race, we navigated through several restarts and successfully avoided a collision, which propelled us to second place. Although we engaged in a competitive battle with the leader, we were unable to overtake them, ultimately securing a second-place finish. It was indeed a successful Sunday Funday.
