We’re Here to Help You Grow.

Every young athlete has different goals.

For some, it’s becoming a starter.
For some, it’s making their middle school or high school team.
For some, it’s playing on Friday nights someday.
For others, the dream may be playing college football.

Whatever your goal is, we want to help you work toward it.

At the A-Town Dirty Birds, we don’t believe development is about making big promises. It’s about showing up, putting in quality work, being coached, learning from mistakes, and getting a little better every time you step on the field.

Our job as coaches is to meet players where they are and help them take the next step.

We want to teach the details. Build fundamentals. Challenge players. Encourage them. Give them opportunities to compete. And most importantly, help them develop the habits and confidence to keep chasing whatever goals they have for themselves.

Football can take you a lot of places, but the work comes first.

We can’t promise where the game will take you.

What we can promise is that we’ll care about your development, coach you with purpose, and do everything we can to help you become a better football player, teammate, and young man.

🦅 WHAT IF TRAVEL FOOTBALL WAS ABOUT MORE THAN TROPHIES?

We understand why some families hesitate when they hear “travel football.”

It takes time. It takes commitment. It requires families to make sacrifices. And unfortunately, youth sports can sometimes become too focused on rankings, trophies, egos, and winning at all costs.

That’s not what we’re trying to build.

At the A-Town Dirty Birds, we absolutely want to compete. We want to line up on Saturday and expect to win.

But winning a tournament will never be more important than developing a kid.

Our goal is bigger.

We want players to get more quality reps.
We want them competing against great competition.
We want them learning proper fundamentals.
We want them becoming more confident and more football-smart.
We want them learning how to handle success AND adversity.
And we want them better prepared when they eventually step onto a middle school or high school football field.

Because development takes TIME.

It takes REPS.

It takes COACHING.

It takes COMPETITION.

And most importantly, it takes INVESTMENT.

Anything worth becoming great at requires an investment and we believe investing in the development of young people is worth it.

But there’s another side of this that’s even more important to us.
We want to keep the toxicity OUT of youth football.

These are kids.

They should be challenged. They should be coached hard. They should learn accountability and understand that there is a standard.

But they should also LOVE playing football.

We want practices where kids can’t wait to come back.

We want coaches who teach instead of tear down.

We want parents cheering for ALL of our kids.

We want teammates celebrating each other’s success.

We want an environment where mistakes become opportunities to learn not reasons to embarrass a child.

And when we walk off the field, our biggest question won’t simply be:

“Did we win?”

It will be:

“Did we get better today?”

Because if we can teach young athletes to chase improvement instead of trophies, we’re giving them something they’ll carry long after football ends.

Better today than yesterday. Better tomorrow than today.

That’s the Dirty Birds we’re trying to build.

A TEAM. A BROTHERHOOD. A DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.

We’re currently accepting players for our 10U & 11U travel teams, and we’re looking for committed athletes and families throughout Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee who believe in what we’re building.

Anyone can wear a jersey.

Not everyone is willing to live the standard.

At the A-Town Dirty Birds, we’re building more than a travel football team. We’re building young men who understand that success isn’t given—it’s earned through hard work, discipline, and consistency.

Our standard is simple:

🟡 Compete – Bring your best effort every day, whether it’s practice, the weight room, or game day.

⚫ Be Coachable – Stay humble. Listen. Learn. Improve. The best players never stop growing.

🟡 Be Accountable – Do what you say you’re going to do. Your teammates should be able to count on you.

⚫ Serve Your Team – Put the team before yourself. Great teams are built on selflessness, not selfishness.

🟡 Never Stop Growing – Football is about more than wins and losses. It’s about becoming stronger mentally, physically, and as a person.

🏈 Why Travel Football?

As parents, we all want the same thing—to give our kids every opportunity to grow, succeed, and become the best version of themselves.

Travel football isn’t about chasing trophies or playing more games. It’s about giving young athletes an environment that challenges them, develops them, and prepares them for the future.

Does travel football require commitment? Absolutely.

But that’s also where the greatest growth happens.

When athletes consistently compete against quality competition, receive high-level coaching, and practice with teammates who share the same drive to improve, they develop skills that simply can’t be taught by playing games alone.

More importantly, they learn lessons that go far beyond football.

They learn how to work when things are difficult.
They learn discipline when no one is watching.
They learn accountability to their teammates.
They learn confidence by overcoming challenges.
They learn that success is earned—not given.

We also understand the concerns many parents have.

“Will it take too much time?”
We value family. We work hard to create a schedule that allows athletes to compete while still enjoying time with family and participating in other activities.

We believe every athlete deserves an opportunity to compete. We are committed to keeping costs as reasonable as possible while providing a first-class experience.

Travel creates experiences. Athletes compete against new opponents, face different styles of play, build friendships, and make memories that last long after the final whistle.

🏈 WE’RE BUILDING SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

That’s the vision behind the A-Town Dirty Birds.

We’re looking for families who want more than just another football season. We’re looking for young athletes who are serious about getting better and are willing to put in the work.

Our mission is simple:

Travel football gives athletes the opportunity to compete against outstanding competition, experience new environments, and accelerate their development through meaningful reps and high-level coaching.

This fall, we’ll begin preparing for our travel season with our first tournament scheduled for the middle to end of November. We’ll also have a Spring Travel Season, giving athletes opportunities to continue developing year-round.

We’re committed to growing the game throughout Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee and creating opportunities for kids who want to chase their potential.
