🎉Happy 1-Year Anniversary, Texas Edge 6U 🎉

This Saturday, our team celebrated 1 year together. Coaches and parents fired up the grill, the girls swam until they practically turned into little fishes, and we topped it all off with cake and lots of laughs. (We missed Skylar in the picture. She was with big sister in Lubbock playing softball. Some parents were dividing and conquering.)

To our coaches: Thank you for believing in our children, setting realistic goals, and challenging them to become better athletes every day. Your patience, dedication, and commitment to these girls are appreciated more than words can express…. Even when you feel like you want to pull your hair out.

To our parents: The countless hours, sacrifices, travel, money, and love you pour into these kids never go unnoticed. Thank you for supporting not only your own child, but every player on this team as if they were your own baby.

To our girls: What a journey this first year has been! We hope you continue to love this sport as much as we love watching you play it. Thank you for being coachable, working hard, being a tem player, and always finding a way to dig deep when it matters most. You are the heart of this team and the true MVPs.

Over the past year, we’ve built more than a softball team. We’ve built friendships, memories, and a family. Here’s to celebrating all we’ve accomplished and looking forward to many more seasons together.

Did anyone watch the last game of the Women’s College World Series last night?

Did anyone notice the mistakes made by BOTH teams?

These are some of the best athletes in the country, and both teams are incredibly talented. What an honor it is to see two Texas teams representing our state on such a big stage.

It’s also a sweet reminder for all of us as parents.

Our kids are 6U going into 8u this August. They ARE learning. They ARE going to make mistakes. They ARE going to miss plays, strike out, and have off days. Even Division I athletes make errors under pressure.

At this age, we don’t even know who will still be playing next season. What we do know is that our children need our love, support, and encouragement now and future.

So when the missed plays and the strikeouts happen, let’s remember to give them grace. Love them unconditionally. Cheer for their effort and move on to the next play.

At the end of the day, the scoreboard will be forgotten, but the way we make our kids feel will stay with them forever. 🖤❤️🥎

We are sad to announce that we have had some changes in next weekends plans for the hit a thon fundraiser.

However, rest assured those that have done a flat donation, that money will still go directly to the player for Nationals! 🖤🤍❤️

As adults, one of our biggest goals is to set an example for our children. We expect respect, kindness, and that starts with us showing those same qualities every day to them and other teams. We will always cheer for the kiddos that work hard. ( we had a parent come over at Wichita Falls and thank our team for supporting their child that struggled the first couple times at bat and then she connected BIG.)

There’s something special about watching these kids play together. Not just on the field, but off the field as well. The friendships they build, the laughter they share, and the memories they create are what this journey is truly about. This is bigger than softball. It’s about raising good humans, building lifelong relationships, and creating a place where every child feels supported, encouraged, and loved.

We are incredibly proud of the family we’ve built from the ground up. Not just a team, but a group of players, parents, coaches, and supporters who genuinely care about one another.

We aren’t just a softball team, we ARE Texas Edge!

It’s time to hit the road and hit the field at State! Texas Edge is headed to the NCS 8UC State Tournament this weekend in Richardson, and we can’t wait to watch these girls battle it out.

⭐ Player Spotlight: #2, Zoey ⭐

Zoey has a heart of gold and a bat of ice. Whether she’s on or off the field, she gives 100% every single time. She’s a great teammate, a hard worker, and she holds down 2nd base like she owns it. We’re proud to have her representing Texas Edge!
