Over the weekend, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy Uganda , we proudly hosted a Flag Football exhibition game to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of American Independence.

The event brought together athletes, coaches, sports enthusiasts, and members of the community in a celebration of friendship, cultural exchange and the growing impact of American football in Uganda.

Flag football continues to provide opportunities for young people to develop leadership, teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle. As the sport continues to grow across Uganda, events such as these demonstrate how sports can serve as a bridge between nations and cultures.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the U.S. Embassy Uganda, participating teams, officials, volunteers and supporters whose contribution made the event a success.

AFFU is deeply saddened by the passing of Amb. Santa Laker, former Ambassador of Uganda to the United States 🇺🇸.

She was instrumental in strengthening our engagements with partners in the USA and served Uganda with dedication and distinction.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, MOFA and loved ones. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
