This is to inform all executives of the Nakasongola District Football Association, 5th Division club chairpersons, secretaries, treasurers, and all interested football lovers in the district that there will be a planning meeting on Thursday, 14/05/2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Katuugo St. Peter’s S.S.

During this meeting, club chairpersons will:
Receive players’ licenses
Receive league fixtures
Be briefed on the commencement of the Beginners Coaching Course
Discuss other related football matters

The following club chairpersons are specifically requested not to miss this meeting:

Following our meeting with RIVER KAFO ZONE clubs, we've outlined the program for our tour of other zones:

1. LUBENGE ZONE: December 4th, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at the Sub County Headquarters.
Mobilisers: Senfuka Badru, Sengendo, Mubiru Hamid, Lule Henry Cespa ref, Kivumbi, and Nasara Charles.

2. KAGERI ZONE: Monday, December 8th, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Wamala Gardens.
Mobilisers: Benjamin, Mangala, Katugga Ivan, Manager Sam, Senyimba Daniel, Musazi Paddy, and Serugo.

3. SEZIBWA ZONE: Tuesday, December 9th, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Kalungi Sub County HQs.
Mobilisers: James Kirumira, Sekizivu Wahab, Seninde Rogers, Waswa Umar, Siraje Kasanbya, Kyebwa Rogers, Katongole Ninga, ref Ogwang Nathan, and Kawayida Richard.

4. FOREST ZONE: December 10th, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at St. Peters SS.
Mobilisers: Manager Kanabe, Waswa Samuel, Kintu Kiwongoire, Nkwanga Daniel, Nsimbe G, Mpagi Ezra, Sendija Richard, Mayor Lubinga, Patrick Kigavu Sande Kyankonwa, and Namba Johna.

5. KYOGA ZONE: December 12th, 2025, at Kisalizi P/S at 2:00 pm.
Mobilizers: Mukambi Afayo, Mutesi coach, Kizza Alex Kimera, Coach Kagwa, Delegate Naisiga, Katesigwa Magado, Muyingo Jimmy, Mayor Lwampanga, and our Head of Mobilizer, Mr. Kayemba Peter (UBC Buruli FM).

There is a special place for those coaches who dedicate their time to juniors.Specifically "entry level" juniors.

I am referring to the ones who have passion for early youth development.

These guys are a special breed.
The ones who have the patience and motivation to take a youngster who does not even know how to pass a ball and turn him into a superstar which everyone wants a piece of.

If you played football you know who I am talking about.
These guys are not interested in the glitz and glam of the senior teams or big tournaments.
They are just passionate about taking a raw player and moulding them patiently over a long and tedious period to see him being a proper player.

These guys play a father role to kids.
They are usually a kid's first real role model.
They are the first people to tell you where right wing and/or center half are on the field.

You spend most of your happy days with them because at that age nothing is more important and exciting as your next training session with your new team mates.

Interestingly these guys (entry level junior coaches) are never in any scandal of abuse or ill treatment of children and yet they are left with such a vulnerable bunch.

You hardly see their faces being splashed on newspapers or their photos taken as recognition.

They dont usually have all the bells and whistles of modern day coaches who always remind us that they have a so and so coaching license.

Each community has that guy who is always followed by a group of kids, some very noisy, some very ill disciplined.

Even worse for those kids whose parents dont take part in their kids football journey,these guys become the mother and the father.
They spend from the little money they have to look after players all day long.

This topic can go on all day because its very nostalgic but this is a moment to acknowledge these heros.

A season has ended another one starts and when we look at all those players on the field we must remember these guys.
