*About*:

Siya John Mella is a seasoned sports administrator and educator with a strong passion for sports development. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports and Leisure Management from Kyambogo University.

*Professional Experience*:

- Retired Sports Officer
- Consultant in Education and Sports Matters
- Vice Chairperson (Technical) of Bukwo District Athletics Association

*Football*Career Highlights*

- Started playing football in 1969 at Amanang Primary School
- Represented Kapchorwa district in 1973
- Played for Chesower Primary School and won the Kween district championship in 1974
- Selected to play for St. Peters College Tororo's first eleven in 1977
- Voted Sportsman of the Year at Tororo College in 1978
- Narrowly missed joining the Uganda Cranes in 1988

*Toughest Opponents:*

During his illustrious football career, Siya John Mella faced many skilled opponents. Two players who stood out as particularly tough opponents were:

1. Mwaniki from Sokona FC (Kwanyiy) - Known for his exceptional speed and agility.
2. Labu from Reberwo FC (Kween District) - Recognized for his impressive ball control and vision on the field.

These opponents pushed Mella to raise his game, and he has fond memories of the thrilling matches they played against each other.

With his wealth of experience in sports administration and education, Siya John Mella continues to contribute to the development of sports and education in Uganda.
