Nataliia Zharkova I am keen to share my knowledge and experience of freediving with everyone!

It’s like DYI, but legal 😁
Narcosis can be a real issue. It hits everyone differently, mainly after 70m depth.

I’ve learned to tame mine by Dori method 🐠

Friends, I’m back in Dubai and will be running training sessions until the end of June!

Please send me a DM so we can arrange a coffee, a catch-up, or a training session together. As for the training schedule, you’ll find the updated plan in the next slides.
Looking forward to hearing from you!🐠

But then life is taking me on the road again. I am looking to realize my full potential and this year I’ll be competing a lot. Because of the schedule and unstable situation in the region, I am currently not making plans to resume sessions until December… it was a difficult decision to make, but unfortunately it seems to be the most reasonable one.

At the same time, I’ll be glad to dive together around the world:
🔹Kalamata, Greece - July 2nd till 20th
🔹Tenerife - October 15 till 24th (Deep Division camp)
🔹Once I know where I’ll be training for AIDA WC - I’ll send the update, quite possibly Kalamata again, alternatively - Cyprus.

For those staying in Dubai I am happy to offer a remote support in trainings. Deep Dive Dubai dives can be done with Davide⁩ or at Deepsters sessions (40m limit).

See you soon! 🧜‍♀️

I came to Ukraine after competition to see my loved ones, reconnect with home, and recharge.

The night after I arrived in Kyiv, the city was hit by one of the largest attacks in recent years. Later, in Kharkiv, my hometown, I heard air raid alerts again. I slept on the floor in a shelter and tried to function the next day like this was normal.

For millions of Ukrainians, it is normal.

So when I ask you to donate, I’m not asking for something abstract.

You are helping protect the sky over my family, my friends, my city, and people who are still trying to live, work, train, love, and build a future under missiles and drones.

This fundraiser supports two things I deeply believe in: Ukraine’s right to survive and Ukraine’s right to remain a country built on human values, dignity, and freedom.

I’m joining the campaign by KyivPride and UNITED24 to help protect Ukraine’s skies.

If you’d like to donate using a Ukrainian bank card, you’ll find the link here: https://send.monobank.ua/jar/7yVFMTzCsQ

The QR code and Wise username are available in the first comment.

Please donate if you can. Please share, comment, or like if you can’t.

Every action helps this reach more people.

And every donation helps bring someone through another night.

For every donation over $30, I’ll send you my “Self Pep Talk for Performance and Resilience”: a personal list of thoughts, reminders, and affirmations I use before deep dives and world record attempts - all suitable for any other high pressure situations.

For every donation over $100, you’ll also be entered into a draw for two weeks of remote coaching with me personally.
Make sure your donation is identifiable!

Thank you 🇺🇦 Stand with Ukraine

Cortisol.

It’s a word we hear almost every day - not surprisingly. It would be stranger if nobody was talking about it these days 😅 Freedivers didn’t stay aside.

“Say your unpopular opinion and run”: Freediving does not lower cortisol levels.

But it does something else…

You see the dive: three or four minutes after the “Official Top” is announced.
What you don’t see is everything in between.

Competition days are mostly waiting: for your turn, for your body to wake up, for your mind to stop inventing scenarios. Waiting while your energy keeps building inside like water behind a dam 🌊

Some of the most intense moments happen when you’re doing absolutely nothing. You’re practically on bed rest, trying not to waste energy, while anticipation and that same old performance anxiety quietly grow inside.

Maybe that’s why competitions bring freedivers so close together. To stay sane, we find ways to fill the waiting.

I was lucky enough to meet another restless soul, .dahlgren, last year. Since then, there are usually at least two of us looking for some shenanigans between dives. Exploring the surroundings, go-karting, bike rides, or Xbox, movies and random conversations if we really need to take a chill pill.

In Sharm it was definitely a chill-pill scenario, since there was not much else to do besides that and Italian food. A lot of it. Possibly enough to retire from Italian food for the next few months. 🍕😂

Then, about two hours before Official Top, the atmosphere changes.

The performance starts.

With what? Correct. The famous banana. 🍌😁 Still an integral part of my routine. 🤣

Then - get down to the competition site. Gear check. Heart rate and O₂ check. Light warm-up to reconnect with the body. Top it all off with a spoon of honey, grab the fins, and here I go.

Just like an artist’s performance begins long before the spotlight hits the stage, a breath-hold dive begins long before the athlete leaves the surface.

Happy Kyiv Day — the city of chestnut trees, bridges, coffee on the go, life-changing meetings, unexpected turns, and people who are always a little more than they seem at first glance. 💙💛

On Friday I lost my tag, so yesterday I took two 😂

The current was so strong that I was sure something had gotten caught on my lanyard - that’s how much drag I felt on it 🤪. I even tried to adjust whatever seemed wrong. If you watch the livestream replay, you’ll notice the angle of the line. Only after 30 meters did the usual calm finally come.

This was a character building dive 😁. And I’m incredibly grateful for the support I can feel even from thousands of kilometers away!
