A customer bought a tip from our site and asked his local repairman for a "rounder" radius, because the installer usually leaves them super flat (Quarter). And... this is what he got back. 🤦‍♂️

This was so bad that we told him to ship the shaft to us (he's just paying shipping), and we’re replacing and shaping the tip for free. No new tip should ever look like that!

Customer chose a cheaper tip install elsewhere, came back saying the hit sounded funny.

Issue: gap between tip and pad. The pad wasn’t faced flat, leading to uneven contact.

At his request, we installed a brand new pad instead of refacing the old one.

PS: Just sharing a recent observation; a few Kamui Black tips we installed seemed to glaze quicker than usual even after proper scuffing, and the layer bonding didn’t feel as solid as before, feels like it’s about peel off or delaminate (last photo for reference).

Anyone else experiencing something similar?
