Mas Oyama’s School of Karate, Trinidad and Tobago- Christmas Message 2025
To all students, parents and everyone who are a part of the support system of our dojo.
As we approach the height of the Christmas season and the close of another year, I would like to take a moment to reflect and to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who continue to support and uphold the spirit of our dojo.
This has been a year of both challenges and success, and I want to commend the hard work of our students. It is not always easy to show up on the dojo floor, yet your dedication and spirit towards training is one that will help you throughout the course of your life.
I would also like to encourage all students to use this season to practice gratitude beyond the dojo. I see it as my duty as a Sensei to always remind my students to cherish and value the hard work of their parents and their family. It is important to take some time to show them appreciation, if even through the smallest gesture. Respect and gratitude are not values that we pick and choose when to use, they are principles we must continuously cultivate.
To the parents and families of our dojo, let me take this opportunity to extend my deepest thanks. I remain keenly aware of the sacrifices you make to ensure your children attend training consistently. Your commitment plays a vital role in their training and for this, you have my utmost respect and appreciation.
As we celebrate Christmas, I encourage everyone to remain mindful and responsible, to show care for one another and to always be mindful of your surroundings.
I look forward to another year of growth within our dojo and I wish you and your families a peaceful and joyful Christmas, and every success and good health in the year ahead.
Osu!
