‼️WFA Completes the Establishment of its Zonal Federations‼️

The WFA has successfully concluded its series of coordination meetings with the establishment of the *WFA South Zone Federation*, marking the completion of the WFA’s new zonal structure across the continent.

Following the meeting, the following members were designated to the WFA South Zone Federation Committee:

• Vice President: Mr. Alex Rangkwe (BOT)
• Secretary General: Mr. Yovin Gyadin (MRI)

With the establishment of the North, West, East, Central and South Zone Federations, the WFA has reached a historic milestone in its efforts to strengthen regional cooperation and support the continued growth of Weightlifting throughout Africa.

The WFA President, Eng. Khaled Mehalhel, the Secretary General, Eng. Manareddin Eshelli, and the entire WFA Executive Board extend their heartfelt congratulations to all members of the newly established Zonal Federation Committees and wish them every success in serving their respective zones and contributing to the continued development of Weightlifting in Africa.

‼️The Expansion of the WFA Zonal Federations Continues‼️

Following the successful establishment of the WFA North Zone Federation and the WFA West Zone Federation, a second series of coordination meetings was held yesterday, resulting in the creation of the WFA East Zone Federation and the WFA Central Zone Federation.

This important initiative will help bring Weightlifting closer to our Member Federations, create more opportunities for participation, and reduce the cost of taking part in competitions.

Following the meetings, the following members were designated to the respective Zonal Federation Committees:

WFA East Zone Federation
• President: Mr. Pius Ochieng (KEN)
• Vice President: Mr. Salim Musoke (UGA)
• Secretary General: Mr. M***a Ramadhani (TAN)

The inaugural East Zone Championships will be held in Kenya.

WFA Central Zone Federation
• President: Dr. Ibrahim Abdul (NGR)
• Vice President: Mr. Boukar Tikire (CMR)
• Secretary General: Mr. Jerry Shaib Ahmed (GHA)

• Mr. Vincent Aka Akessé (CIV)

• Mr. Anderson Tosh Bei (LBR)

The host of the inaugural Central Zone Championships will be announced soon.

‼️A Historic Milestone For African Weightlifting‼️

The WFA has taken a historic step forward in the development of Weightlifting across the continent with the launch of its Zonal Federations.

Following the first day of coordination meetings held today, the WFA North Zone Federation and the WFA West Zone Federation were officially established, marking the beginning of a new era of regional cooperation and development within African Weightlifting.

The creation of the Zonal Federations aims to increase participation opportunities for athletes, coaches and technical officials, reduce the cost of participation in competitions, and strengthen the development of the sport throughout the continent.
