Phrom Si Thit (พรหมสี่ทิศ)

Phrom Si Thit is a basic training form that teaches movement in four directions—front, back, left, and right.

It is based on two basic movements: Suea Lak Hang (เสือลากหาง) and Sot Soi Mala (สอดสร้อยมาลา). The practice improves balance, coordination, footwork, and awareness, creating a strong foundation for martial arts training.

Train with balance. Move in every direction with confidence.

Mastering the space around you. Today at Brave Tiger School, we are focusing on 'Sod Soi Si Thit' (Four-Direction Garland Threading). This movement is a fantastic drill for spatial awareness and coordination. You aren't just looking at the target in front of you; you must feel the presence of targets behind and beside you. Your footsteps must smoothly transition while the sword continuously loops. It forces your brain and body to sync perfectly under pressure. Practice makes permanent!

"In battle, the smartest warrior wins. 🧠⚔️ This is Mai Ram No. 11: 'Lod Lo' (Feign and Lure). In Krabi-Krabong, this movement is all about mind games. You pretend to be weak or open to make your opponent attack, but it is actually a trap! It takes great body control and patience to trick your enemy and strike back when they least expect it. A beautiful mix of strategy and skill. 🇹🇭✨"

"True power doesn't just come from your arms; it starts from the ground up. Working on the 10th movement of Krabi-Krabong: 'Chang Yaek Nga' (Elephant Splits Its Tusks). This stance focuses heavily on a low, solid base. By sinking your weight and shifting your hips correctly, you can split your opponent’s guard open with massive force, just like an elephant using its tusks. It is a masterclass in balance, timing, and body mechanics. If you want to build real functional strength, this is the form to master! 💪🔥"

"Ready for battle. ⚔️ Practicing Krabi-Krabong Mai Ram No. 8: 'Thod Fak Dab' (Unsheathing the Sword). Once the blade is out, there is no turning back. 🇹🇭🔥"

"In Krabi-Krabong, true power is often hidden inside soft movements. This is Mai Ram No. 7: 'Hong P*k Hak' (The Broken Swan Wing). The beauty of this move is how it tricks the opponent. It looks peaceful and gentle, like a swan flying, but it can turn into a powerful attack in a split second. Mind, body, and weapon must become one.

"Ready, aim, and strike! 🏹 Did you know that Krabi-Krabong is the ancient Thai martial art of weapon fighting? This move is called 'Plaeng Son' or the Arrow Shot. It simulates the stance of an archer about to release an arrow. What do you think of this traditional look? Let me know in the comments! 👇
