📢 INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY | ACCOUNTS CLERK INTERN

The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated candidate for a 12-month Accounts Clerk Internship Programme. The accounts clerk intern will gain practical experience in Accounting and financial management while receiving exposure to financial and administrative activities related to the Commonwealth Youth Games.

Start Date: 1 October 2026
Duration: 12 Months
Position: Accounts Clerk Intern
Age Requirement: 23 years and below

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will assist the Finance Department with:
• Capturing financial transactions into accounting systems
• Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
• Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Processing invoices, receipts and payment vouchers
• Verifying supporting documents for financial transactions
• Preparing financial documentation for audits
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and cashbook maintenance
• Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes
• Preparing basic financial reports and Excel spreadsheets
• Supporting finance and administrative activities related to the Commonwealth Youth Games
• Providing logistical and administrative support during Games-related activities
• Maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor

Minimum Requirements

✅ 23 years of age or below
✅ Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
✅ Recent graduate or student seeking practical work experience
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Honest and highly dependable
• Detail-oriented and organised
• Numerically and analytically strong
• A good communicator and team player
• Willing to learn and develop professionally
• Able to maintain confidentiality
• Self-motivated and proactive

The candidate should be prepared to work additional hours(weekends).
