STATEMENT TO LOZITHA SPURS FC SUPPORTERS
Dear Supporters,
As the 2025/26 season comes to an end, we would like to inform you that Lozitha Spurs FC has finished the league campaign in 10th position. While this is not the position we had hoped for at the beginning of the season, we are grateful to God for helping us overcome many challenges and secure our place in the league.
We would like to sincerely thank our loyal supporters who stood by the team throughout the season. Your unwavering support, despite the difficulties we faced, gave us strength and motivation. This season was truly a testing one for everyone associated with the club.
One of the biggest challenges was the lack of a suitable home ground around Manzini. For most of the season, our home matches felt like away games. Playing and hosting matches away from our community every week was difficult not only for the players and technical team but also for our supporters, who had to travel long distances to support the club.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to our players, who worked tirelessly and fought hard to save the club from relegation. Their commitment and determination during such challenging circumstances deserve recognition and appreciation.
Special thanks go to the people who stood behind the team throughout the season. We particularly thank Mr. Dlamini for his support and dedication. This was a season that tested everyone involved with the club, and we are grateful to all those who remained committed.
There is a saying: “A child without a home is never truly safe.” This reflects the situation many Manzini-based teams faced this season. Without a proper home ground for approximately 15 league matches, teams such as Lozitha Spurs FC, Ludzeludze Killers, Masundvwini Swallows, Mankayane, and Manzini Sundowns struggled to compete under fair conditions. In contrast, Stumbo FC secured a stable home ground from the beginning of the season and successfully qualified for the playoffs.
We firmly believe that if suitable football facilities had been available in Manzini, teams such as Ludzeludze Killers and Masundvwini Swallows might have avoided relegation. The financial and logistical costs of constantly playing away from home were extremely high and placed a heavy burden on clubs.
Therefore, we respectfully appeal to the Manzini Regional Football Association (MRFA) and the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) to urgently intervene and address this situation. Manzini is one of the major hubs of football development in Eswatini, and the lack of proper facilities threatens the growth of the game and the development of young talent.
Despite all the challenges, Lozitha Spurs FC remains committed to moving forward and building a stronger future. We thank all our stakeholders, supporters, players, sponsors, and partners for standing with us throughout this difficult season.
