Breaking: South Sudan Coach Calls South Sudan National Team Players as Amateurs

Nicholas Dupious, coach of South Sudan Football Team said players of South Sudan are amateurs and that he will never win against teams with professional players like DR Congo 🇨🇩 and Senegal 🇸🇳 even if they play for one hundred years.

His remark came about when he, coach Nicholas DUBIUS, was asked by a journalist that why the team lost despite good atmosphere and morale from the fans.

🗣️ “I appreciate everyone so much for coming to rally behind us, but this is football — If you play against teams like DR Congo and Senegal, just know that it is always difficult, even if we get 20,000 or 30,000 fans or even more, the game remains difficult. He said.

He further added 🗣 "These are teams with professional players, they play in the top European leagues and they face wild atmosphere every week. These atmosphere cannot make us win if our standards do not match theirs.”

Amateur is a person who is unqualified or insufficiently unskillful or who does not engage in something professionally

Bright Star National Team Arrives in Nouakchott Ahead of World Cup Qualifier.

The Bright Star national football team arrived in Nouakchott yesterday evening ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mauritania. Upon arrival, the team proceeded directly to their residence at the Sahel Hotel.

Head coach Nicolas Dupuis granted the players a few hours of rest before resuming preparations with a training session scheduled for this evening.

The team will later continue to Nouadhibou city, where they will complete their final preparations for Tuesday’s clash against Mauritania, set for September 9, 2025, in the eighth round of qualifiers.
