Jamus FC unveils plans for 10,000-seat sports city in Luri
The 2024-2025 South Sudan Premier League champions Jamus FC have unveiled ambitious plans to construct a modern sports complex, dubbed the Jamus FC Sports City, on the outskirts of Juba in Luri.
The project was announced on Tuesday by the clubβs president, Mohaned Ahmed, who said the development is aimed at strengthening the clubβs infrastructure and supporting the growth of sports in South Sudan.
According to the proposal, the sports city will feature a 10,000-seat stadium that will serve as the clubβs home ground, alongside a training pitch, an indoor multi-sport hall, and an administrative complex.
The planned facility is expected to provide a permanent base for the club and create opportunities for athlete development, community engagement, and the hosting of major sporting events.
The announcement comes on the heels of a historic season for Jamus FC, who were crowned champions of the inaugural South Sudan Premier League 2024β2025 season.
Jamus FC secured the title in remarkable fashion, completing the entire league campaign unbeaten and becoming the first club to lift the newly established national championship trophy.
If completed, the Jamus FC Sports City would rank among the most significant privately driven sports infrastructure projects in South Sudan and could help raise the standard of football facilities in the country.
