During a trip to South Sudan, war photographer Jan Grarup met a young boy wearing a badly damaged AC Milan jersey with 'Balotelli 45' on the back... 💔🇸🇸

The photographer, also an AC Milan fan, offered the child to exchange the heavily-worn jersey for a brand new one 🔁

He accepted, and Grarup then gave the damaged jersey to AC Milan, who decided to proudly display it at the Mondo Milan Museum 👕🏟️

The club also made a significant donation to UNICEF to support children in South Sudan 👏

A powerful reminder that football is more than just a game ❤️.

Gogrial Local Football Association (GLFA–GWC) 2026

The Gogrial Local Football Association would like to officially inform the public and all football stakeholders that an executive meeting was successfully conducted yesterday.

The meeting was very productive and constructive. All executive members were present, except a few members who were absent with official permission. During the meeting, members openly discussed a number of key challenges currently facing the Gogrial Local Football Association and explored possible solutions to strengthen the administration and development of football within Gogrial West County.

Furthermore, the executive body deliberated and reached important resolutions on the following matters:

1. Review of Signings:
A detailed review was conducted on the player and official signings made one month ago, focusing on compliance, performance, and future improvements.

2. Suspension of Referees:
The meeting resolved to suspend two referees due to disciplinary and administrative concerns, in line with the association’s rules and regulations. Further investigations and decisions will be communicated in due course.

3. Opening of the League:
Plans and preparations for the upcoming local league were discussed, including timelines, team participation, officiating, and organizational arrangements. The association reaffirmed its commitment to organizing a fair, competitive, and successful league season.

The registration for referees and coaches who are due for training is ongoing and once the registration is over, the team from Kuajok will come for one week training to our referees and coaches ahead of the planned league

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Office of the Deputy Secretary of the Gogrial Local Football Association (GWC) hereby wishes to inform the general public that the Association is planning to conduct official football training programs for the following categories:

1. New Referees Training

2. Refresher Training for Existing (Old) Referees

3. Training for Football Coaching Staff

This training program aims to improve the quality of football officiating and coaching in Gogrial West County, promote professionalism, and strengthen the development of football at all levels.

All individuals who are interested and qualified, including youth, former referees, active referees, and coaches, are strongly encouraged to apply and participate in this important program.

Interested persons are kindly requested to register their names in person at the office of the Gogrial Local Football Association within the registration period.

AGUOK KUEI PEACE TOURNAMENT 2026

Gogrial B United have been crowned champions of the Aguok Kuei Peace Tournament 2026 after a thrilling and highly competitive final against Alek A (Rak Nyin).

The final match was played in a strong spirit of unity and sportsmanship. Both teams displayed excellent discipline, teamwork, and respect throughout the game. After 90 minutes plus 2 minutes of added time, the match ended in a 1–1 draw, showing how evenly matched the two sides were.

The championship was decided through a dramatic penalty shootout, where Gogrial B United emerged victorious with an 8–7 win. Both goalkeepers played a crucial role, each making an important penalty save for their respective teams. The shootout reflected the determination and mental strength of both sides, with Gogrial B United finally securing the winning kick.

This historic victory marks the first time Gogrial B United have been crowned champions of the Aguok Kuei Peace Tournament. Their success is a result of hard work, unity among players, and strong leadership both on and off the field.

Alek A (Rak Nyin), despite the narrow defeat, also deserve great respect and appreciation. They demonstrated resilience, tactical discipline, and courage throughout the tournament and in the final match. Their performance proved that they are one of the strongest and most organized teams in the competition.

Most importantly, the final was played in a peaceful and friendly atmosphere, perfectly reflecting the main objective of the Aguok Kuei Peace Tournament: promoting peace, unity, and togetherness among communities through football.

On behalf of Gogrial Local Football Association – GWC, we sincerely appreciate both teams for their peaceful conduct and outstanding performance as one community and one people.

Mandate and Objectives;

1. To oversee the Finals of the Aguok Kuei Peace Tournament (AKPT) scheduled for Wednesday, 28 January 2026, at the same venue previously designated.

2. To organize and facilitate a reconciliation meeting on Saturday, 31 January 2026, bringing together all stakeholders to resolve the differences that led to the resignation of the former Organizing Committee of Aguok Kuei Peace Tournament.

This decision affects both the football and volleyball finals, which were scheduled to be played among the following teams:

- Mayom United Volleyball Team vs. Buoth Anyith Volleyball Team

The postponement has been made following a directive from the higher authority of the Kuajok Local Football Association, under the leadership of the Warrap State Football Association headquarters in Kuajok. The decision was taken in the interest of proper coordination, organization, and to ensure a successful and peaceful conclusion of the tournament.

We kindly request all teams, officials, supporters, and partners to remain patient and cooperative. The new date for the final matches will be communicated very soon through official channels once confirmed.
