South Sudan’s Amin elected 1st Vice President of regional body CECAFADecember 18, 2019 by admin 0 41

President of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Francis Michael Amin has been elected 1st Vice President of the Council of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA).

In a CECAFA General Assembly that took place at the SilverSprings Hotel in Kampala on Wednesday Tanzania’s FA President, Wallace Karia was also unopposed as CECAFA President for the next 4 years.

The Assembly decided that Amin becomes the first Vice President, while Ethiopia’s FA President Esayas Jira becomes the second Vice President.

“I am happy that fellow members have showed that they have trust in me. We need to work together as a team for the good o football in our region,” said Amin.

The President of the Eritrea National Football Federation, Abraham Esayas and the Rwanda FA boss Gen. Sekamana Jean Damascène were also picked as the two Board members.

The new CECAFA President Karia thanked all members for the support and called upon all the members to work as a team.

The elections followed the new Statute as recommended by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Out-going CECAFA President Mutasim Gafaar from Sudan thanked the members for the support he was given and called upon the new team to work hard to keep developing football in the region.

South Sudan football Association Secretary General received a letter from Uganda governing body's Secret requesting all the participating federations for the upcoming CECAFA competition to pay the sum of $ USD 20,000 as registration fee to boost final preparations for the tournament. The registration fee is needed on time to avoid being locked out from the competition and with that, south Sudan will not participate in the competition/both boys and women national team said, Anthony John/Secretary General SSFA.
إعلان سكرتير الاتحاد العام لكرة القدم السيد أنطوني جون أن الاتحاد العام لكرة القدم استلم خطاب من الاتحاد الأوغندي لكرة القدم يفيد بأن علي كافة الاتحادات دفع مبلغ مالي قدره عشرين ألف دولار المشاركه في البطولة. وقال إن منتخب جنوب السودان بشقيه المنتخب الأول ومنتخب السيدات لن يشارك في البطولة.

South Sudan head Cyprian Besong Ashu has named his 22 man squad
to start preparations for the 2019 Men's CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup that will be hosted by Uganda from 7th to 19th December.
استدعي مدرب منتخب جنوب السودان لكرة القدم السيد اشيو سيبريان بوسونج استدعي اثنان وعشرون لاعبا لبطولة سيكافا للمنتخبات التي تنظمها اوغندا الاسبوع القادم،من السابع الي التاسع عشر من ديسمبر الحالي.
