A fire has destroyed the offices of the Minister and Undersecretary at the Ministry of Roads and Bridges in Juba this morning.

According to the Director of Administration and Finance, Yien Bol Mayuak, the blaze is believed to have started after an electrical fault involving an air-conditioning unit in the Minister’s office.

Yien says the fire gutted the two offices and destroyed office equipment and documents.

No casualties have been reported.

The fire was contained before it could spread to other offices within the ministry.
