BREAKING: Senior Presidential Advisor's Office dismisses Aweil Counties' Tournament invitation, vows legal action
The Office of Senior Presidential Advisor Adut Salva Kiir Mayardit has dismissed as fake an invitation poster circulating on social media, which purportedly invited her to attend a dinner party organized by the Aweil Counties' Tournament.
In a statement, the Office said the poster was neither authorized nor issued through any of its official communication channels.
"The Office wishes to categorically state that the poster is FAKE, unauthorized, and did not originate from any official communication channel of the Office of the Senior Presidential Envoy. Members of the public are advised to disregard the information contained therein," the statement read.
The Office further warned that it would pursue legal action against those responsible for creating and circulating the poster, describing it as a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.
"Appropriate legal and administrative action will be pursued against any individual or group found responsible for creating, publishing, or circulating the fraudulent poster with the intent to deceive the public or misrepresent the Office," the statement added.
The Office concluded by urging members of the public to verify information through official channels before sharing or acting upon it.
