Football enthusiasts have found themselves in a whirlpool of disbelief after Egyptians were clearly robbed in the world cup against Argentina.

Argentina has been hugely favored in many calls from match Officials, from VAR to infield officials. Football fanatics worldwide compared the match with that of Netherland against the same Argentina in the December 2022.

Former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has weighed in on Argentinaโ€™s win over Egypt at the FIFA World Cup, calling it _"football robbery in broad daylight."_

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ _โ€œFor me, this feels like football robbery in broad daylight.
Iโ€™m not taking anything away from Argentinaโ€™s quality because they have world-class players, but I donโ€™t think they deserved to win this match. Egypt worked incredibly hard to build a two-goal lead. They defended with courage, attacked with confidence and earned every bit of that advantage._

_The turning point, in my opinion, was the refereeing. I didnโ€™t agree with the penalty that was awarded to Argentina earlier in the game, and after that it felt as though every important decision was going against Egypt. Whether people agree or disagree, those moments changed the rhythm of the match and gave Argentina the momentum they desperately needed._

_Egypt will leave this tournament feeling heartbroken because they were so close to one of the greatest victories in their history. Sometimes football is decided by brilliant moments, and sometimes itโ€™s decided by controversial decisions. Tonight, I believe the officiating will be discussed just as much as the football itself.โ€_

Egypt had gone 2-0 up and looked set for a historic upset before Argentina fought back to eliminate them.

The comments have already sparked debate online, with fans divided over the refereeing decisions.
