DEFENDING CHAMPIONS RETURN WITH BOOSTED POWER AS BUTKOR STUNS GROUP D WITH 7-0 WIN

AWEIL WEST COUNTY - 13th August, 2026 - Good evening football fans. This match was played in Aweil North County, and I am currently reporting live from Aweil West County.

The Rolngut League One 2026 group stage continued today with fireworks. Butkor FC, the Champions of 2025, have returned to RLO1 with much more boosted power and announced their arrival in style with a 7-0 demolition of Janaphil FC in the Group D opener.

It was a fair match officiated by Gokmachar Local Football Association referee Marach Yel Kuach, who has resumed officiating in Rolngut League One.

Until the administration of Rolngut League One reached an agreement with the Leader of Gokmachar Local Football Association Referees, Dhieu Mapioth aka Nunu, the referees were not allowed to officiate. After 3 matches had already been played, the referees were permitted to work freely and are now supporting the league until the end of the tournament.

His return, and that of the Gokmachar LFA team, is a welcome boost to the league’s officiating standards.

CORRECTION: TEAM NAME CONFIRMATION
The administration of Rolngut League One wishes to clarify a registration error. Mariik FC was mistakenly registered as Area United FC. The name has now been confirmed as Mariik FC and will be used for all official records going forward.

TOMORROW'S FIXTURE
Group A Fixture: Mariik FC vs Mabior.
This will be the first match for both teams in Group A.
Venue: Rolngut Playground, Rolngut Boma.

ROLNGUT LEAGUE ONE 2026

To: All Rolngut League One Footballers, Team Leaders, Fans, and Administrative Staff

This is to inform all of you that we will be clearing the field at Rolngut Playground in preparation for the opening match.

Date: 8th August 2026, Saturday
Time: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Venue: Rolngut Playground

Please come with your tools- pangas, hoes, slashers, rakes, and any other tools to help us prepare the field.

This exercise is in preparation for the opening match between Rolngut United FC 🆚 Black Star FC, which will take place on 9th August 2026, Sunday. It promises to be a very exciting match.

Let us all turn out in large numbers and work together to make our playground ready for this great event.
