Ever feel like every supplement you try makes you feel worse? 😩

You’re not imagining it.

One of the most frustrating things I hear from people with chronic illness is:

“I wanted to help my body, but now I feel worse.”

More bloating.

More headaches.

More fatigue.

More reactions.

Here’s what many people don’t realize:

A supplement can only help if your body has the capacity to receive and utilize it. 😟

If you’re dealing with chronic stress, digestive dysfunction, nutrient depletion, inflammation, immune activation, or toxic burden...

even helpful interventions can sometimes feel like one more thing your body has to process.

This doesn’t mean supplements are bad.

And it doesn’t mean your body is “rejecting” healing.

It means context matters.

The question isn’t always:

“What supplement should I take?”

Sometimes the better question is:

“What is preventing my body from responding well to support?” ✨💫✨

That’s the question I spend a lot of time helping clients answer.

Have you ever had a supplement that seemed like it should help... but didn’t? 👇

One of the hardest parts about living with chronic illness
is that many of the patterns that keep us stuck start to feel normal.

Pushing through exhaustion. 😩

Feeling guilty when we rest or express our discomfort (aka “complain”) 🥺

Taking care of everyone else before ourselves. 😇

Researching symptoms for hours. 😵‍💫

Trying harder. ✔️

Doing more. ✔️

Looking for the missing piece. ✔️

Over time, these behaviors can become so familiar that we stop questioning them.

We assume:
“This is just who I am. This is what my life is.”

But what if some of these patterns aren’t personality traits?

What if they’re adaptations?

What if they’ve helped you survive difficult seasons... but are now asking your body to carry more than it can sustain?

Causing you even more stress and worsening symptoms.

This doesn’t mean the symptoms are all in your head.

It means the body, mind, immune system, hormones, digestion, and nervous system are all connected.

And sometimes healing starts with recognizing the patterns we’ve stopped seeing. 😊

If you’re tired of spinning your wheels and ready to understand what’s actually keeping you stuck,

Many women with chronic illness become experts at doing. 🥇

Researching. 👀

Trying new supplements.

Listening to podcasts. 🗣️

Reading books. 📚

Following protocols. 🤔

Looking for the missing piece. 🧩

And at first, that can be incredibly empowering.

But over time, I’ve noticed something interesting:

For some people, the pursuit of healing can quietly become another form of stress.

Not because they’re doing anything wrong.

Not because they aren’t committed enough.

But because the nervous system starts to associate constant action with safety.

“If I just find the answer...”
“If I just try one more thing...”
“If I just work harder at this...”

I’ve lived this. I’ve seen it in clients. And I’ve had to learn that healing isn’t always about doing more.

Sometimes it’s about creating enough safety, support, and capacity for the body to finally respond to what you’re already doing.

Did this one hit home for you? 🥹

You started eating healthier…

and somehow you feel WORSE. 😩

More bloating.
More fatigue.
More reactions.
More symptoms.

This is actually really common in chronic illness.

Because sometimes the issue isn’t that your body is “failing,” or you have bad genes...

It’s that your system is overwhelmed.

When the nervous system, gut, detox pathways, or immune system are already stressed…

even healthy changes can feel like too much.

Your body may need support before it can tolerate more healing inputs.

Chronically ill women aren’t just dealing with physical symptoms…

They’re living in nervous system survival patterns they don’t even realize they’re carrying.

These patterns helped you survive.

But they may also be exhausting your body.

Which one are you? 👀

🔥PCOS has officially been renamed PMOS:
Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome 🔥

Why does this matter?

Because this condition affects far more than reproductive health. (And you likely knew that 😉)

It can involve:
• blood sugar dysregulation
• insulin resistance
• inflammation
• fatigue
• weight fluctuations
• acne
• nervous system symptoms
• cardiovascular risk
• metabolic dysfunction

The new name acknowledges something functional practitioners have been saying for years:

The body works as an interconnected system. ♾️

Hormones affect metabolism.
The microbiome affects hormones.
Stress physiology affects ovarian function.
The liver influences blood sugar regulation and hormone clearance.

None of these systems operate in isolation. 💫

And honestly, this shift matters because so many women have spent years feeling dismissed while dealing with symptoms that clearly extend beyond the ovaries.

This isn’t “just” a cycle issue.

It’s a whole-body conversation. 🎯

Did you ever feel like the term PCOS didn’t fully explain what you were experiencing? 👇

There’s so much black-and-white health thinking online right now. 🤯

And especially when it comes to health advice, it can be so confusing. Or scary. 😳

Just know, the body rarely works in absolutes.

Symptoms have context.
Food has context.
Healing has context.

This is one of the biggest reasons individualized support matters so much. 🥲

What’s the worst health advice you’ve ever received? 👀

Blood sugar stability is not just about eating fewer carbs. 🤭

It’s about supporting the systems that regulate glucose in the first place.

Your liver plays a central role in this process.

Between meals — and especially overnight — it stores and releases glucose to keep energy steady.

When your liver is under strain from:
❌chronic stress
❌inflammation
❌poor sleep
❌metabolic dysfunction
or nutrient depletion ❌

that regulation can feel less smooth.

That’s when people notice crashes after meals, afternoon fatigue, cravings, or waking during the night. 😞

At the same time, your gut microbiome influences:
🔥inflammation
☄️metabolic signaling
⚡️ and insulin sensitivity

Your liver and microbiome communicate constantly — and when that relationship is disrupted, blood sugar balance often reflects it.

This is why I don’t start with restriction.

I start with foundations (and the order can vary person to person):
• adequate protein
• fiber-rich meals
• consistent eating patterns
• sleep support
• and reducing overall inflammatory load

If you’ve tried “eating better” but still feel unstable energy, it may be time to look at what’s happening upstream. 🧐

If you crash after eating, it doesn’t automatically mean you need to restrict more food.

For some people — especially those recovering from:
✔️ illness
✔️dealing with chronic stress
✔️sleep disruption
✔️gut issues

the body simply needs a gentler approach. ☺️

Stabilizing your blood sugar isn’t about extremes.
And sometimes not even about “fat, fiber, protein” at every meal. 😳

It’s about:
• meal composition
• nervous system regulation
• digestion capacity
• consistency
• and individual tolerance

Sometimes simplifying meals for a while can make a big difference. 💫

Perimenopause isn’t just about hormones. 💥

It’s also about:
• inflammation
• oxidative stress
• recovery capacity
• resilience

As estrogen fluctuates and declines, the body loses some of its protective buffering effects.

Which is why things that were once manageable can suddenly feel much harder:
• alcohol
• poor sleep
• stress
• blood sugar swings
• inflammation

This is often the stage where women say:
👉 “I suddenly don’t recognize my body anymore.”

And there’s physiology behind that feeling.

I hear you. And can help.
