Community Alert: Suspected Criminal Uses Fake Dollar and Carries Suspected Ritual Items at Funkia Junction, Goderich

GODERICH – Residents and business owners at Funkia Junction, Goderich, are being advised to remain alert following an incident involving a suspected criminal who reportedly attempted to use fake US dollar notes at a local shop today.
According to information gathered, the individual entered a shop at Funkia Junction and tried to purchase items using counterfeit dollar bills. During the encounter, the shop owner and people around became suspicious not only of the currency but also of several items found in the suspect’s possession. These items were identified by witnesses as juju, sebeh, and sara cloth, which raised further concern among those present.
The situation caused fear and tension at the shop, as some community members believe such items are often associated with criminal or deceptive activities. The shop owner managed to avoid completing the transaction, and the suspect later left the area.
As of the time of this report, the matter has not yet been taken to the police station, and no official arrest has been made. Community members are therefore urging shop owners and traders in Funkia Junction and surrounding areas to be extremely careful when handling foreign currency and dealing with suspicious individuals.
Residents are calling on the appropriate authorities to investigate the incident to prevent similar occurrences in the future. In the meantime, shop owners are encouraged to verify money carefully and report any suspicious behavior immediately.
