I strive to be a champion in all aspects of life. In November this year, I will attempt to set a Guinness World Record by swimming underwater breast stroke for more than 2.5km in one hour! After training non-stop for over a decade, my body can withstand high levels of carbon dioxide and low levels of oxygen. I can hold my breath for 6 minutes, swim 200m underwater on a single breath and mingle wit

h sharks deep in the ocean, while feeling completely relaxed and free. An athlete my whole life, I was a competitive tennis player and swimmer throughout my childhood. Following my dreams of adventure, I moved from Slovakia to Australia at the age of 19. I quickly realised that being a strong swimmer isn’t enough when waves and currents start to dominate the equation. I started to build respect and understanding for the ocean by joining a Surf Life Saving Club in Sydney. Following an encounter with freedivers in 2009, while struggling to equalise on scuba, I enrolled in a freediving course. I never looked back and I have not used scuba tank since. In 2016 I became one of the first freediving instructors in Australia guided by the World Champion, Erez Beatus. Years later, fuelled by burning desire to find out how far and how deep I can go on a single breath, I was remotely coached by “Coach of the Champions”, Martin Zajac. During Covid lockdowns, I refused to give in, instead, I unearthed unique and unconventional training methods, which led me to establish PBs in all pool disciplines. I also developed a deep understanding for mental training and a strong desire to coach others. Living the mind-set of adventure, in 2022-2023 I circumnavigated Australia with my family in a home built camper trailer! This intense experience, and nearly 4-million views on my YouTube channel, have led me to the idea of sharing my skills and knowledge with audiences world-wide. My goal is to create top quality online courses for freedivers, surfers and ocean swimmers so that they can lift their performance and enjoyment of sports they love by improving their breathing, breath-holding ability and mental resilience. I am living the dream with her family in Newcastle, NSW.

During freediving competitions—whether as an athlete, coach, or judge—I’ve seen it all.

The tension, the fear, minds racing ahead to outcomes. Some ignore the signs and go too far, some push with force and fierce determination, some give up.

But the few who truly thrive are enjoy the dives are the athletes with a plan—small, intentional goals along the way. The white card or a PB dive? They’re just results of following that plan—not the goal itself.

If it happens—celebrate and reflect. If it doesn’t—analyse and learn. Either way, you grow.

If this resonates, I’d love to hear from you—just send me a message.🫶🏻💦

Same water.
Different relationship.

Most swimmers are taught to train harder.
Faster arms. Stronger kick. More fitness.

But what if progress also comes through awareness?

Breath.
Glide.
Timing.
Connection.
Feeling the water instead of fighting it.

Less wasted energy.
More efficient movement.

If your swimming feels heavy, rushed or tiring… there may be another way.

What does your kick look like… and more importantly — what does it feel like?

Two kicks.
That’s all it takes when everything is working with you, not against you.

No force.
No rush.
Just connection.

It’s not about whether your knees are too wide or too narrow.
If your kick feels inefficient, rushed, or inconsistent — it’s not strength.
It’s awareness. Timing. Mobility.

Most people try to move through the water.
But the real shift happens when you begin to move with it.

That’s where efficiency lives.
That’s where the dive becomes effortless.

If this speaks to you, I’d love to guide you:

→ No Fins, No Worries (learn to understand your movement and become your own coach)
→ 1:1 coaching (for personalised feedback and refinement)

Send me a message or comment KICK and I’ll point you in the right direction.

At 46, I feel stronger, more mobile, and more at home in my body than I did at 26.

Yes, this is a full-body workout.
But for me, it’s about much more than fitness.

It’s about longevity.
It’s about staying strong, capable, fluid and free.
It’s about building a body that supports the life I want to live.

Getting older is a privilege.
And I want to meet it with strength, movement, and intention.

I wasn’t born by the ocean.
I grew up in Eastern Europe.

But life has a beautiful way of unfolding when you follow what feels true.
And now, I get to move like this at sunrise… and share it with my daughter.

After filming this, we did the workout together.

We don’t have to fear age.
We can grow into it.

Some things really do get better with time. Would you agree?

4 days at the Australian Pool Nationals…
but this time, not as an athlete — as a judge.

And I was curious…
would I feel the pull to be back in the water? The dredded FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)

No. I didn’t.
I felt calm.
Content.
At peace.

A deep sense that I don’t have to prove anything to anyone, anymore.

There was also a very emotional moment — a minute of silence and a No Fins dive in honour of the beautiful champion freediver Jody Fisher.🖤

A reminder that this sport is about so much more than performance.

Watching the athletes, the emotions, the breakthroughs…
it brought me back to why I fell in love with freediving.

And reminded me — everything I’ve learned is here to be shared.

To help others grow as freedivers.
And as humans.

Congratulations to all the athletes who turned up and did their best…no matter the colour of the card you received…⬜️🟨🟥

The journey continues… into the depths… and under the ice…

fans Have you ever experienced a dive like this?
“It's the first time I've done a dynamic with no urge to breathe…Or at least I don’t remember the urge to breathe.”

These were Jack’s words after surfacing from this 50m Dynamic No Fins.

After six months of working on his technique, he was finally able to place his attention somewhere else — and enjoy the space between the strokes.

Where your mind goes during a dive shapes the entire experience of that dive.

Most divers focus on the urge to breathe.
Others focus on pushing through discomfort. Some get caught up overthinking their technique.

But when the mind becomes quiet, the body follows. You glide more. You rush less.

Learning how to stay calm, present and connected with the water takes conscious practice.

Would you like your dives to feel like this?
Let’s explore it together.

When we first start with freediving, we’re taught to measure everything.

Time.
Distance. Depth.
Tables completed.
Strokes per lap.

We celebrate discipline.
We optimise performance.

And yet…

No one really teaches us how to feel the water.

For years, I believed every plateau required more structure.
More Oâ‚‚.
More COâ‚‚.
More training.

But eventually I had to ask myself:

What if the thing holding me back
wasn’t my tolerance —
but my relationship with the water?

It took me more than a decade to realise that awareness can take you further than force ever will.

This doesn’t mean we abandon technique.

It means technique without presence is incomplete.

Some of the most effortless dives I’ve experienced came not from pushing harder —
but from acceptance and surrender.

And this is the work I now explore with the freedivers I coach.

Not just numbers.
Not just tables.
But how to move with the water instead of against it.
How to manage the voice in your head when it gets loud.

If you feel stuck somewhere between analysis and awareness…

You’re not watching a technique video.

You’re watching a conversation between body and water.
For years, I believed that to dive further, I had to try harder. But water doesn’t respond to force. It responds to awareness.

This 50m No Fins dive isn’t about distance.
It’s about surrender.
Soft power.

And learning how to move with the water — until you become it.
This is what I teach every diver and swimmer I work with. Not just performance… but presence.

Barefoot on snow.
Open heart.
Clear intention.

This is Joska Salek — triple world-record holder (longest plank, longest weighted plank, fastest half marathon on ice & snow)…but WHAT moves me most isn’t what he’s achieved.

…it’s HOW he meets challenge.

This May & June, Joska joins me in Australia for two intimate 4-day retreats near Sydney & Byron Bay.

These aren’t performance-based events.

They’re about:
- Presence over pressure
- Meeting challenge with calm
- Exploring fear safely
- Growing through acceptance (not force)

If you feel the calling — this might be for you.
