NOORDUNG SUCCESSFULLY VALIDATED BY CLIMATE-KIC

Noordung has recently completed a successful collaboration with Climate-KIC, Europe’s leading platform for climate innovation, operating under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Under the mentorship of their expert team, we developed a Climate Impact Forecast – an in-depth analysis of the carbon impact of our product – which has now been officially validated and approved by Climate-KIC.

The validation process confirmed that the Noordung product has a significant environmental impact, with the potential to reduce emissions by -1.1 thousand tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per year – the equivalent of planting 50,845 trees annually.

We are grateful to the Climate-KIC team for their outstanding mentorship and the opportunity to deepen our understanding of carbon footprint assessment, as well as to discover new avenues for further optimizing our product with sustainability in mind.

We hope that this validated environmental potential will also resonate with (angel) investors who share our vision for the future of urban mobility – clean, smart, and responsible.

The Noordung bike belongs to the Internet of Things - or as we like to call it at Noordung, the “Internet on Wheels.”

A vital part of this vision is our Noordung Air app, which, together with the Noordung e-bike, creates a one-of-a-kind product with no equal in the world.

While most in the cycling industry focus on tracking calories, Noordung stands alone as the world’s first production bike dedicated to monitoring air quality along a rider’s route in real-time.

This enables cyclists to discover the cleanest, healthiest routes for their daily commutes - or to protect themselves when air pollution exceeds safe levels.

In the next stage of our journey, we’ll build a decentralized air quality monitoring network powered by the cycling community itself. Through this network, we’ll create pollution maps and raise awareness of the true state of urban air quality.

Without ground-level data, we can’t tackle this problem because we don’t know where pollution actually lurks. Our solution empowers communities - every one of us - to take action and address the challenge of urban air pollution.

The idea’s simple. You got your Noordung bike - first of its kind, baby. The only bike in the world with a built-in air quality sensor. While you’re riding, the app shows you the pollution levels, not some number from a few miles away, but right where your wheels hit the ground. When the app tells you the air’s bad, like today, you throw on that nanofilter scarf over your nose. Keeps those cancerous little particles out of your lungs. You ain’t poisoning yourself - you’re living longer, living better.
