💨 Wind is the ultimate test of a golfer's patience — and skill.

Most golfers fight the wind. The smart ones use it. Here are a few things that can make a real difference on a breezy day:

✔️ Club up. Into the wind, take one (or even two) more clubs than you think you need and swing easier. A smooth 6-iron beats a forced 8-iron every time.
✔️ Lower your ball flight. Tee the ball slightly lower on drives, and play the ball back in your stance on irons to keep it under the wind.
✔️Grip down and stay balanced. Wind messes with your footing more than you'd expect. A slightly wider stance and a controlled grip will keep your swing stable.

Read the whole hole, not just the green. Wind can curve your ball from the moment it leaves the clubface — factor it into every shot, not just the approach.
