There are service provider currently quoting S$6/- an hour S$7/- an hour f or hiring fo Lifeguards . In Singapore , most Lifeguard Service Provider uses the Singapore Life Saving Society

(SLSS) Bronze Medallion (BM) as the entry certification . Please do recognise when you give a certified Lifeguard S$6/- an hour , the certified Lifeguard mind as well work part time at any F&B . Singapore Lifeguard Service have been asked to quote lower or match the other service provider low quote . Singapore Lifeguard Service is unable to quote that low . Singapore Lifeguard Service believes that hirer must pay a reasonable hourly amount against other job description especially when safety of any swimmer's swimming ability are of high concern . Hirers should be aware when they pay low , Lifeguards when offer a higher amount will naturally cancel their previously confirm lifeguard schedule and go to the higher paying service . When your contractor turn over rate is high or when your vendor is unable to provide manpower , let us not regret it was because of the lower amount when the hirer has the financial capability to pay a reasonable amount .

Amsterdam has approved a plan to spend up to 100,000 euros on installing small staircases along its canals to help cats and other animals escape if they fall in. According to DutchNews nl, the initiative was proposed after reports showed that at least 19 cats drowned in the city’s waterways in 2025.

The staircases will be placed in high risk areas identified by local animal welfare groups and will blend into the historic look of the city.

🌊 She was drowning.
And the world was still cheering.
No one noticed the silence beneath the applause.
No one… except one person. 💔
It was June 2022, at the World Championships in Budapest.
American artistic swimmer Anita Álvarez had just finished a breathtaking routine — grace and control woven into water and light.
But when the music stopped… she didn’t rise.
Her body floated for a moment — still, suspended.
