"I used to engage in my physical training (PT) on an empty stomach since solid food requires time to digest. While training without fuel can enhance fat burning, it also causes the body to break down muscle protein for energy, leading to reduced performance, fatigue, and even dizziness. Following this, I would typically have a traditional Asian breakfast, such as fried bee hoon or noodles, which are often oily or spicy and lacking in essential nutrients. Protein sources were mainly fried chicken wings or BBQ pork, making my first meal after a night’s rest quite heavy.
However, after years of observation and the inevitability of aging, I have started a new dietary regimen. My first meal now consists of liquid food—blended, not stirred—containing 400 calories with all the necessary vitamins and minerals, including 21g of protein before I begin my daily workouts, which include 200 abdominal exercises, 200 arm exercises, and swimming or jogging twice a week. I'm pleased to see positive changes; having a healthy body contributes to a healthy mind, allowing me to enjoy life.
After years of experimentation, I am now collaborating with a nutritionist and planning to open a nutrition café aimed at educating busy working adults and young athletes about healthy living."
