Happy 21st Birthday, Team Naga!
Twenty-one years ago, Team Naga was born from a simple idea—friends coming together on weekends to paddle, to have fun, and to escape the routines of work and daily life. What started as a way to unwind soon became a journey none of us could have imagined.
We had dreams: to grow as a team, to race with purpose, to compete overseas, to stand on podiums, and to one day see a full girls’ crew paddling proudly in a Naga boat. Through discipline, commitment, and countless hours on the water, those dreams became reality—and we went far beyond them.
But Team Naga has always been more than results or medals. It is the rhythm of paddles moving as one. The trust between paddlers. The calls of the drummer, the focus of the steers, and the shared effort that carries the boat forward. Every person who has worn a Naga jersey and shouted “Go Naga!” at the start line has left their mark on this team.
Over 21 years, Naga has become a family—built on respect, resilience, and belief in one another. We have weathered calm waters and rough seas together, and each challenge has only made us stronger.
I am deeply grateful to every paddler, drummer, steersperson, coach, and supporter—past and present—who believed in Naga and carried its spirit forward. Because of you, Naga continues to move with strength, unity, and heart.
