Always a pleasure doing tennis racquet reviews with my Buddy Melvin from Leisure Sports . This time, we’re putting the Wilson Tennis Python 🐍🎾 (prototype) “aero” tennis racquet through its paces.
We often see the Python being play tested and reviewed outside Singapore. Hopefully this “Made in Singapore” 🇸🇬 tennis racquet review by both Melvin and me will give our Singapore audience and followers a “sneak peek” of this new racquet from Wilson. Rumoured to be officially available sometime July 2026 😉😜.
Initial findings: 🧐
1. Adaptability/Playability: Easy adaptable racquet to pickup and play right off the bat and to get used to without much orientation playing time.
2. Comfort/Control: A Plush, Comfortable & Very Controllable racquet even with a full bed of Multis without compromise in control. This racquet is currently strung with Tecnifibre X1 Biphase 17. Melvin noted increased power and spin can be achieved with a full bed of Poly or Hybrid Poly/Multi setup.
3. Customisation: Ability to increase swing weight and customisation potential but adding weight to various section of the frame.
4. Power/Spin: Compared to other “Aero” and “Spin” related racquet models, the Python 🐍 is up there with the rest and can hold its own in the spin and power department.
