Effective Front Crawl Technique

1. Body - Prone (face-down), horizontal and streamline, Look down toward the bottom of the pool

2. Leg - Ankles and feet stay relaxed and "floppy" in plantar-flexed position. Kicking motion originates from hips

3. Arm - Hand entry should be smooth without excessive splashing, keeping the elbow higher than the rest of the arm.

4. Breathing -Head remains low in the water, look to the side and one ear stays in the water

5. Timing - No pause in the stroke to take a breath, 2 to 6 beat kick cadence
