Dear all,
As we conclude the National Primary Schools Sport Climbing Championships (NPSSCC) 2026, we would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported and journeyed with us throughout this memorable week.
Since its very first edition in 2012, where we started with only 8 schools and 112 participants, NPSSCC has grown tremendously over the years. This year, we were heartened to host 78 schools and 375 climbers across the Novice, Junior, and Senior categories over the course of the 1-week championship. The strong participation and vibrant atmosphere were truly encouraging, and none of this would have been possible without the collective support of the climbing community.
We would especially like to thank the Singapore Sport Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (SSCMF), BFF Climb, Xinmin Secondary School, all participating schools, teachers, coaches, parents, and of course, our climbers, for making NPSSCC 2026 such a roaring success.
We are especially grateful to SSCMF and BFF Climb for their strong support and professionalism in helping to ensure that every process was well taken care of during the Junior/Senior events. Your experience, guidance, and commitment gave confidence not only to the organisers, but also to the participants, schools, and parents throughout the competition.
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Xinmin Secondary School, together with their enthusiastic teachers and students, for helming the Novice category. Your passion, energy, and support played a huge role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for many of our young climbers taking their first steps into the sport.
As a team of teachers from Hougang Primary School, we are deeply grateful for the encouragement and support shown throughout the competition. Many of you came up personally to share words of support and encouragement for this ground-up initiative. That simple gesture meant a great deal to us.
At the same time, we would also like to sincerely apologise if there were areas where we may have fallen short. We understand that we are not perfect, and we truly appreciate the feedback and understanding extended to us throughout the competition. Your feedback is invaluable, and we hope to continue learning, improving, and making climbing greater together with this very special community and its wonderful people.
With that, we wish everyone all the very best in their climbing journey ahead. Thank you for showing up, supporting one another, and being part of NPSSCC 2026.
