SMU Climb Team

SMU Climb Team A rock climbing club in SMU with climbers pursuing more food, more fun and more friends. That, is our team spirit, our climbing community.

SMU Climb Team aims to share our passion and experiences for climbing with the community, especially within the SMU campus. From sport climbing and bouldering, to climbing natural rock and slack- lining, are just some of the activities our members can take part in. Gravical is the annual bouldering competition organized by the Team, and is growing towards being a part of the international climbing

scene. We have both a competitive and recreational wing, its flexibility allows for those who wish to represent the SMU name in pursuit of success, as well as those who just wish to explore the intrinsic pleasures of the sport. But, we don’t draw lines, as our climbers from both wings climb together regardless of the difference in intensities. Climbing sessions are held at the SMU Rock Wall [SMU Administrative Building, Level 3 Sports Hall]:
Every Tuesday and Friday
7pm – 9.30pm

🚨 GRAVICAL 2027 OC RECRUITMENT IS OPEN 🚨

One of Singapore's largest bouldering competition is coming back — and we're building the team to make it happen.

Gravical 2027 is slated for early January 2027, and planning kicks off late March 2026. We're looking for ~20 driven individuals to join us across departments including Events, Operations, Relations, and Finance & Admin.

Expect a commitment of 2+ hours a week as we work towards delivering a competition experience similar to that of an IFSC World Cup 🏆

Whether you're interested in marketing, logistics, wall-building, sponsorship, finance, or programmes — there's a role for you. Prior OC experience is a bonus but absolutely not required.
