For a long time, I thought that our personality, our intelligence, and our emotional patterns are set in stone.
And there is not much that we can do to change the way we are.
But....
according to neuroscience research, I found out that it isn't true at all.
The brain is, in fact, dynamic.
It adapts and reshapes itself throughout our entire life, based on what we repeatedly think, feel, and do.
The process is known as neuroplasticity.
What's more the brain actually rewires more effectively through behaviour first.
Many of us like to wait till we feel calm and ready before we act.
But change doesn’t happen just because we want it to.
It happens because we start behaving in small, consistent ways that signal something new to the brain.
When we practise calm — slowing down, regulating our breath, responding instead of reacting — our nervous system begins to register safety.
When we take small risks before feeling confident, our brain gathers evidence that we are actually capable.
Over time, the repeated signals to the brain reshape internal pathways that once felt deeply ingrained or impossible to shift.
How EFT and Matrix Reimprinting Support Neuroplasticity
This is where tools like Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Matrix Reimprinting come in.
EFT, often called tapping, combines mindfulness with somatic regulation. By tapping on specific acupressure points while acknowledging emotional distress, the nervous system begins to register calm. This creates the conditions for the brain to release old stress responses and reduce negative thought patterns.
Matrix Reimprinting adds to this by working with trauma and subconscious beliefs stored in memory and the body. It allows the brain to visualise new outcomes, helping outdated patterns reorganise safely.
Both methods work with neuroplasticity, not against it — they help the brain experience something new SAFELY rather than just talk about it.
