We were told Venezuelans could endure anything, and somehow, at the end we believed it.
We learned to live with goodbyes, distance, uncertainty, and the pain of missing the people we love.
Then the earth shook, and in just a few seconds, we were reminded of something we often forget:
"We are all vulnerable"
In that moment, there were no politics, no social class, no race, no discrimination, no borders
only one shared prayer:
"Please let my family be safe."
That's when I understood: it's not that Venezuelans can endure everything. It's that, no matter how many times life breaks us, we always find the strength to rise again, reach out to one another, and keep going.
So today, don't wait. Call the people you love. Tell them how much they mean to you. Hug them if they're near, and if they're far away, remind them they're always in your ❤️
Because life is fragile, today is a "pre-sent" or also called gift, and tomorrow is never promised.
