It’s been almost 8 mths since I started Tribe of Judah and I thought it’s time to talk more about myself and how God has pulled me and my marriage from the pits and restored me.
I’m someone who’s never been good at my studies from young. Picked up smoking since 13 years old and was hooked for years!! Addicted to P**n for 32 years. Never had a good grade in my life. Failed O levels. Retook O levels, Failed often in Tertiary. Gambler in my teens. Was in financial debt of 150k when I was in my late 30s. Marriage falling apart, son father relationship was broken…..
God turned everything around. Everything. I wasn’t able to overcome anything by my own strength…. He worked in me, peel layer after layer.. exposing sin after sin to deal with, secure my salvation…. fixed my marriage, fixed my relationship with my kids, cleared my debts, fixed my addictions, restored me from self doubt, gave me strength, He lifted me up from my doldrums, and turned my life 180 degrees…. Wasn’t overnight change. It was years of working at me patiently. Moulding me. Teaching me, Guiding me.
Thank you God. You’ve never left me, even when I strayed. You’ve always provided for me even when I was in debt. There was always food on my table. Thank you for being so faithful to me. Your grace and mercy showered on me.
Started Tribe of Judah because I wanted to shout out to the entire world what Jesus has done for me. How He can do the same for you. With our activewear, it brings hope to the people around us. Who knows.. someone might be in the doldrums and that message on us sparks a deep yearning to know Jesus. Who knows it might encourage someone next to us. We can be ambassadors for Christ.
I am an overcomer through Christ and I’ve no doubt you can too, if you allow Jesus in your life.
