At 60, Kate’s journey is really about something deeper than strength, it’s about independence.

After years of navigating osteoporosis and multiple surgeries affecting her spine, shoulders, knees, and wrists, even everyday movement came with caution. The simple things we often take for granted — reaching, walking, getting up with ease — required thought, care, and at times, hesitation.

But over the past 3+ years at TMB East Coast, Kate chose not to let that define her.

Working closely with her instructor, Kelvin, through personalised Pilates sessions, she began rebuilding, not just her strength, but her trust in her own body. Each session was a step towards moving with more awareness, protecting her joints, and finding confidence in what her body can do, rather than focusing on its limitations.

Progress didn’t happen overnight. It was gradual, intentional, and deeply personal.
Today, Kate feels stronger, more stable, and more in control. But more importantly, she’s regained a sense of independence. The ability to move through life with confidence, to take care of herself, and to live on her own terms again.

Because at the end of the day, movement isn’t just about exercise.
It’s about having the freedom to live your life, your way.

📌 Resistance into Awareness: Springs Dynamics Workshop

We often reach for the same springs without thinking.
But change the tension, and everything changes.

In this workshop, you’ll explore how spring choices influence support, challenge, balance, and muscle recruitment. Feel how even the smallest adjustment can shift stability, awaken different connections, and completely transform the way a movement lives in your body.

This isn’t about heavier or lighter.
It’s about choosing the spring that makes the movement make sense.

Move beyond formulas. Learn to observe, adapt, and respond to the body in front of you—with clarity and intention.

Presented by Sophie Ki
Senior Instructor, The Moving Body & SmartFit Pilates

With a background in Life Sciences and a deep curiosity for anatomy and movement, Sophie brings a thoughtful, experience-led approach to how we understand the body.

This workshop is exclusively available on CIRCLE ().

Happy World Health Day! Health isn’t just about how you look, it’s how your body shows up for you, every single day. In this video, our Master Instructor Cindy demonstrates the Mermaid on the Cadillac at its most advanced. It takes strength, mobility, and a lot of control… but more than that, it reflects years of moving, learning, and understanding her body.

Because real health isn’t built overnight.

It’s in the way your spine feels supported
The way you move without hesitation
The quiet confidence of feeling strong in your own body

Move well, feel well, live well 🤍

Side plank to pike — this is what real strength looks like.

Not just aesthetics, but control, stability, and the ability to move your body with intention. You’re building deep core engagement, shoulder integrity, and full-body coordination all at once.

Functional strength isn’t about lifting the heaviest weight, it’s about owning every position your body moves through. Slow, controlled, and precise.

That’s where the real work (and real results) happen.
