Elves Bike Announce Their Sponsorship of Hess UCI Women’s Continental Cycling Team
Elves Bikes are thrilled to announce that for the 2024 race season, they are the official road bike sponsor for Hess UCI Women’s Continental Cycling Team.
The fourteen strong woman’s Hess team, founded from the grass roots, has taken a sustainable and ethical viewpoint that riders, who are very much part of the wider Hess family, should be given the opportunity to study while they race, and create their own personalised consumer brand. The team objectives are to ensure that the women are supported and empowered to be successful medium to long-term, and not only for the time that they compete professionally. We applaud this and hope that other teams and influential governing bodies are inspired to adopt this modern approach.
Swiss born; London based Team founder Rolf Hess has aspirations for the team to both reach and win the Tour de France Femmes adding “Women being enabled to compete professionally is a sign of overdue change. He added, one of reasons we entered partnership with Elves Bikes is their progressive approach to women’s cycling.”
It is no secret that Elves Bikes have been banging the drums for rider equality for some time. We believe the only way society can start to address systemic inequality, is to make sure we all take personal and professional responsibility for change. For us, here at Elves Bikes, there is no better way to demonstrate that our rhetoric is a reality, than to support this incredible woman’s team – We are already proud of each and every one of them.
The Hess Team will be riding 47 Elves custom-built bikes running Shimano Ultegra Di2 on the Vanyar Pro Disc 2024, Elves latest hill-climber released last September, the Falath Evo 2023, which is the second-generation Aero frame also being adapted into a TT bike with integrated TT bars, and the soon to be released Avari Pro Disc 2024. The team will also be running Elves newly launched customed printed Orome TH55D Wheelset, along with their more established TH30D, Osse 3D printed saddle and Orome AeroEvo handlebars.
